I never would’ve dreamed this decade’s major news would be of this tragedy. In the early 90’s, I saw the “Moolight on Water” video, as well as an appearence on The Tonight Show. In 1984/85, I was barely a toddler when I heard “Self Control” on the radio, which (along with many 80’s artists, such as Huey Lewis) cemented my childhood musical memories. A little over a month later, I’ve recovered a bit from the initial shock, but the inside loss is always gonna be there. She was just the type of person that seemed like she’d be around forever. I was shocked and saddened about Laura’s seemingly far too early passing. LAURA will live in my heart forever-FOREVER YOUNG is what she will be, a true ANGEL-ANGELS CALLING…and thats what they did, took her home to sing with them.

I will never forget that as long as I live. The only thing I said to her was, can I give you a kiss, and she let me.

After the concert was over she went back to her hotel and I followed her back, actually ran from PSP to the hotel, got there and to my amazement she was standing alone. I met Laura in Pittsburgh PA when she gave a concert at Point State Park. SOLITAIRE is my favorite song in the entire world and TOUCH is my favorite album(though I love all your albums). Shocked & Saddened, in a daze, still hard to believe, a wonderful talent cut down in the prime of her life-LAURA BRANIGAN, you will be truly missed by all that have been with you throughout the incredible career that you have had-from GLORIA to THE WINNER TAKES IT ALL and everything in between.
